Pilots of Maldivian, the national airline, have decided to go on strike tomorrow.
The pilots who decided to strike are demanding to remove the Director of Flight Operations, Mr Mohamed Ameen, from his position saying that he practices discrimination among the pilots. He has held the position for more than 10 years.
A pilot who spoke with the media stated the flights director Mr.Ameen does not care about the pilots and does not listen to their concerns.
He said that sometimes the pilots are forced to work on off days and so far Mr.Ameen has not been of any help in solving these problems.
The pilots who agreed to strike has decided to go on a sick leave tomorrow. It is expected that many flights will be rescheduled or cancelled tomorrow as a result.
